As I imagine the vibrant fields of La Mancha, Navelli, and Kozani, I wonder what it would be like to witness the harvesting of the world's most expensive spice. Saffron, with its rich history and cultural significance, has long fascinated me, and the opportunity to see its production up close is a thrilling prospect.

In 2026, I plan to embark on a journey to explore the agricultural tourism routes that focus on saffron harvests in Spain, Italy, and Greece. The chance to learn about the harvesting processes and experience the local traditions surrounding this precious spice is a unique experience I am eager to have.

Through my travels, I hope to gain a deeper understanding of the efforts that go into producing this valuable commodity and share my findings with fellow travel enthusiasts, highlighting the beauty and richness of these European destinations, and the significance of saffron in their cultures.
